About this calculator
How accurate are the calculator's figures?
The federal discount is calculated from the current STC factor and typical certificate prices, the same method installers use to build quotes. Your exact figure varies slightly with your battery model's usable capacity and the certificate price on the day, so treat results as a close estimate that your installer confirms.
Why do you ask for my income?
One reason only: the NSW interest-free loan has a combined household income cap of $210,000, and extra discounts are coming for households under $80,000. Your answer decides which figures we can show you. We only need a band, never an exact number.
Does the calculator work outside NSW?
Partly. The federal battery discount applies Australia-wide, so that figure is valid anywhere. The VPP incentive and the interest-free loan are NSW-only, and the calculator marks them clearly so you know what applies in your state.
What happens after I see my results?
